From humble beginnings in March 2008, Stan's Pools has grown to become the GTA's trusted pool service provider, delivering professional care with that personal touch for 18 successful years.
Our Evolution
From the very first customer, we treat every customer with care and dedication. Our services are always delivered with a smile and that tried and tested personal touch.
At the beginning of the 2020 season, we made the strategic decision to focus exclusively on pool services. While we discontinued yard services to specialize in what we do best, we've maintained our original name for reference.
We offer 25+ years of swimming pool knowledge and experience. We take pride in our work and attend to your swimming pool as if it were our own. We're not finished until you are satisfied.
Our virtual office is located in Toronto, Ontario, and we proudly service most of the GTA with the same dedication as on day one.

From leak detection for vinyl liners, underground lines, and equipment repairs, Stan's Pools delivers comprehensive pool services with 25+ years of expertise and full Toronto by-law compliance across the GTA.
Leak Detection
Leak Detection
Leak Detection is performed by:
- • Performing pressure testing of the underground pool lines to accurately locate the location of the leak. Once found, our office sends a quote in writing setting out the particulars of the repair costs and committed repair date.
- • If the vinyl liner is suspected to be leaking then a LeakTrac device is used. The LeakTrac finds leaks by putting a small electrical charge into the pool water, then tracking the flow of electricity as it makes connections to the ground through conductive penetrations in the liner, making a sound when a hole is found. This device can even find pinhole size tiny holes.
Equipment Repair & Maintenance
Comprehensive repair, maintenance, and installation of pool equipment including pumps, pump motors, filters; and plumbing for heaters to ensure optimal performance.
Pool Opening & Closing
For Saltwater, Chlorine & Bromine Pools
Pool Opening includes:
- • Removal of water/debris from on top of pool cover
- • Cleaning and removal of cover, and folding up of cover
- • Commercial grade shock treatment (provided by Stan's Pools)
- • Run garden hose to fill up pool
- • Light pilot on heater
*Water balancing is not included in our pool opening service, we only add commercial grade shock to your pool on opening day.
Pool Closing includes:
- • Lower water to winterizing level
- • Remove circulation fittings and deck equipment
- • Drain pool equipment and plumbing
- • Commercial grade shock treatment (provided by Stan's Pools)
- • Install winter cover
*Pool Vacuuming is available on opening or closing day if requested when your appointment is booked (it is an additional cost).
Toronto By-law Water Discharge Compliance
Complete Toronto By-law water discharge compliance services for chlorine, bromine and saltwater pools, including use of dechlorinator pump attachment with dechlorination tablets for chlorine pools.
For bromine and saltwater pools, in most cases the home owner will need to lower the water to closing level before we arrive to close the swimming pool. The reason for this, is that the Toronto By-law has zero tolerance for any bromine or saltwater being discharged on city streets, sewers, parks, or anywhere that isn't on the home owners property. Unfortunately at the current time, there is no process to remove bromine or saltwater from pool water when lowering for closing.

Pool 101 Learning Session
We offer a 1 hour learning session basically like a Pool 101 for new pool owners, which includes a free pool vacuuming. Our senior pool technician will walk you through the basics of general pool care, how to vacuum and backwash your pool, as well as some other helpful tips to spend less time caring for your pool and more time enjoying it!
Vacation Pool Vacuuming
Service includes:
- • Skim water surface to remove debris
- • Brush sides of pool
- • Scrub stairs
- • Empty skimmer and pump baskets
- • Backwash pool filter
- • Vacuum pool
- • Check circulation equipment, pump and filter to ensure operating properly
*Prior to the customer leaving for vacation, they must have their pool water professionally balanced. When providing the vacation vacuuming service our technicians will only add the customers chemicals in the qualities previously instructed.
